With cold grilled chicken and grilled veggies I opened one of my two bottles of 2006 SQN Autrement Dit Rose. It's a blend of grenache (55%) and syrah (45%) in a big, dark, high alcohol Rose. The wine is light ruby in the glass with aroma of fresh strawberries, a spicy pepper note and a bit of dry wood. Very dry on the palate, fairly forward cranberry, strawberry and cherry flavors with a fair amount of complexity. No overt heat from the 15.6% abv and was what one lunch companion called "Rhone Lite". "B"
