One of the worst excesses visited by nurserymen on an unsuspecting public "You want a fast growing screen? We can supply it". We've only lived in two houses. In both, almost the first thing we ever did was to rip out hundreds of yards of _bloody_ hedges. Privet in the UK, and Some kind of spotty pseudo laurel here. Ghastly things. The second thing we sis was plant a heb garden.
