We are trying to find types of wine that will go with gourmet dark chocolate brownies (from plain to pecan, raspberry, mint, etc.). Does anyone know what's best?

There are several choices, my favorite is a vin doux from Rasteau (sweet red dessert wine from the Southern Rhone in France).
you might try any of the fruit forward Zins - these stand up quite nicely to the richness of dark chocolate
On a similar note, a Banyuls from the Roussillon region of S France also does a decent job of pairing with dark chocolate (those flavorants give me cause for concern, though). If Ian Hoare reads this, he'll probably mention Tokaji as a decent pairing with chocolate, so I'll beat him to the punch! ;-)

Wines are made for 'regular' foods, not for chocolate. The question is absurd.
What white wine goes with red wine?
A port will go nicely with brownies. So will some of the sweeter sherries.
I agree with the PORT. My wife and I enjoy dark chocolate treats and Ruby Port all the time. The darker, the better.
Ditto that; get a rich, strong Zin - Dry Creek, Amador, etc. They are marvelous with chocolate.
I find Chenin Blanc as well as Riesling go well with deserts
My $0.02
bonny doon has a great dessert wine...-- esp if you are going to be flavouring your brownies with a raspberry note... NV Framboise, Infusion of Raspberries.
From many tastings and trials: Everything oxidized/madeirized goes extremely well with chocolate: Tokaj, sweeter Madeira, sweeter Amontillado (also Montilla-Moriles), cask aged Port, especially
10, 20 years old (or older) or Colheita Port, Marsala.M.
Excellent suggestion - we have enjoyed the Framboise with chocolate a number of times.
I picked up a bottle of Bommarito Cabernet Sauvignon 2001. It had a nice raspberry note that accented the chocolate-currant theme of the wine. There were minty hints that also appeared as it breathed.
I'm a Cabernet lover but this particular one reminded me so much of chocolate that I had to go get some to have with it. Other than that, I think a nice Spanish sherry would be the thing.
