Clos du bois merlot

My partner has been raving about Clos du bois merlot for some time and I have yet to try it. Does anyone know where we can hold of some either via internet delivery or in person? We are in the UK (London)

Thanks

Niall

I have no idea about distributors in the UK. However, I'll hopefully be visiting London in the fall. I'll bring you a bottle if we can borrow your house instead of spending $150-$300US a night for a London Hotel!

No can do I'm afraid - no free space in the house :(

However if you want to bring a few bottles over with you we will buy you a few beers and a meal in a reasonably priced London restaurant :)

lol, sounds like a great deal! I need to find a reasonable London Hotel. Last time we stayed at the Thistle Victoria. A bit expensive, decent rooms. Main reason was location. Easy to get to from the Underground without having to drag our luggage around city streets. I suppose a taxi from Heathrow would work too!

Last time we were in London we stayed at St. Margaret's and really liked it. It's a short walk across a park from the Russel Square tube station. It wasn't real fancy but it was nice and very reasonably priced for London. Luggage in the underground does suck though. I'd take a cab on the way in and out.

Cheers,

Miles, you might want to look into The Chesterfield, 35 Charles St London, W1J 5EB. It's a bit north of the Victoria Thistle, but close to several Underground stations. Great London hotel, and priced very fairly (for a London hotel). The offer a transfer from Heathrow, right at Immigration station, and it's priced right at the rate of a cab. It's in Mayfair district, a few blocks above St James' Park. Good restaurant and real service unlike many establishments in Mayfair, many at 2x the cost.

For me, it wasn't the luggage on the underground that sucked - it was lugging it up and down those damned 3 foot wide stairs with commuters trying to pass you...

Luggage in the underground does suck though. I'd take a cab on

That's what I mean. Trying to get around using the underground is hell with luggage. Stairs, escalators, crowded trains. It does depend on the time of day though. We've always arrived just in time for the morning rush.
