very quick results with wheat sugar

Apr 01, 2007 1 Replies

Some years ago I was able to buy 'wheat sugar' from a brewing shop in islington. I was told at the time that this *by-passed* a few of the initial fermentation processes. It certainly produced quick results, when mixed with apple juice.

Does anyone know where I could buy 'wheat sugar' in reasonably small quantities to start off with. I'm in north london u.k. thanks.

I think you are talking about wheat based malt; you should be able to get that at any homebrew outlet. This link is just an example. Muntons makes it too and is based out of the UK.

In the US you can buy it in 1, 3 and 55 pound increments at most any homebrew outlet.
