I'm writing to let a.s.w.'ers know about a recent unpleasant experience in dealing with D. Sokolin.
On December 2 I placed an order on their website for one bottle each of Montelena 2001, Ambroise Corton Le Rognets 2002, and Altesino Montosoli
1999. Today, January 3, they still don't have all three bottles for shipment. On December 3, however, they billed my credit card for all three bottles plus shipping.I called them to cancel the order and wound up on the phone with a spectacularly rude representative named "Darren." He interrupted me several times to recite his boilerplate speech in a thoroughly condescending tone, refusing to even listen to what I had to say.
I've talked to my credit card company; they've agreed to give me a credit for the full amount.
On the basis of this experience I don't recommend D. Sokolin for online purchases.
