France

Just returned from a 3 week trip, 1/2 in Greece on a tall ship, 1/2 in Paris France.

Food and wine must better in France with one exception. Had a GREAT meal at VAROULKO(Athens), simply amazing dinner...all seafood, very French Laundry like preparation and an amazing roof top dining room overlooking the Acropolis.

Had a great couple days in Epernay.

One day we had a private tour of Moet and Chandon. An amazing property. I was totally museum and ruins out...so it was welcomed break. After the tour, Moet had made plans for us to eat at a GREAT place in Epernay.

Les Berceaux, Epernay...I had a Veal steak and Kidneys (first time having Kidneys)...it was very good. My wife had Venison with seared Foie gras on top...it was her first time having Venison...and it was GREAT!

We had some Moet Grand Champaigne with all the appitizers, soups etc...then both of us had a Red Burg, name forgets me but was a server recomendation...all great.

Next time in France we will skip Paris, and use trains and go all over.

In Paris we rented a flat on Rue Madame, 6 Arrondisement. We found a great little place in the neighborhood for dinners. Maison Du Jardin on Vieruguard. It was our first time ever renting in Paris, normally stayed in hotel. This was a great experience and will repeat the flat vs hotel in future.

Amazing food and wine.
