I just got a Futures mailing today and was blown away by the price of Cheval Blanc. Are they being groomed for 1st growth status? La Mission Haut Brion was $1,299 for the 2003 case and Cheval Blanc was $3,799. What has happened there. B
I don't generally buy many Big 8 wines, but my impression is that Cheval Blanc prices have generally been equivalent (occasionally higher) than the 1sts in most vintages. LMHB has often challenged the 1st on a qualitative level, but unsure that's as likely now since under same ownership as HB. Dale
