German Wine

Am seeking anyone who may know where to purchase a wine called Deidesheimer Hofstuck Fpaplefe. Cannot find it anywhere, but know it is a german wine. I live in Fresno, CA and cannot find it anywhere. Any help would be appreciated. Darlene my email: snipped-for-privacy@comcast.net

Fpaplefe? Seems you have misread... It is Spatlese (late harvest) Deidesheim is a village in Pfalz, Germany (a Rhine wine area). Hofstuck is a generic name for something like 19 vineyards in Deidesheim and surrounding villages. The best wines are normally single vineyard ones... Furthermore a vineyard in Germany is often a quite large area, with a large number of owners, each with a piece of the land, and also with different capabilities and abilities. So, the important thing is always: Who is making the wine? What grape varieties have been used? I'd advise you to look for anything from Deidesheim, with Riesling (the grape) and Spatlese (the ripeness) on the label. hth Anders

I'm not sure I understand the "....bash the Germans?" comment but this picture of the label doesn't appear to be in Gothic print. Must have been a typo.
