Hart 2001 Barbera (Temecula, CA)

We picked up this bottle 2 years ago when we were in Temecula. Had it last night with spaghetti. My wife (with the palate) enjoyed it and said it had character but wasn't cloying (whatever that means). My sophisticated palate just said "yum!".

Dick R,

I have not had that many Temecula wines, but Barbara is a favorite. We've had several Cline Barbaras, and I picked up a few recently from the Sierra Foothills. Normally great food wines, especially with courses featuring some acid, like a tomato-based red sauce. I do not know the Hart, but will look for it, especially as Temecula has had so very many problems, as of late. I wish them well, and hope that this might be a sign, that they are rebounding. Right now, AZ is having some of the same problems and hope that the work done in Temecula will help out the producers in AZ.
