His Lordship Unmasked !

Caught up with an old friend a couple weeks ago: enjoyed a few glasses at a local wine bar.

Typical me, when we started discussing the wines, he couldn't shut me up.

However, it transpired that Steve now edits and publishes his own small colour monthly "lifestyle" magazine, so my "musings" turned into an interview.

Complete with a few inaccuracies, this is what appeared in this months edition of Scene Magazine (Click on Page 6)

Thanks for owning up to it! ;-))

I love to see pictures of posters here. There was one particular poster here that has written about his travels and included pictures of everyone else but himself. I was so disappointed. You know who you are! Dee Dee

Good to see your smiling visage again after 6 years, milud: you look much the same but your hair's a trifle longer ;-) I'll pass it on to Sidney and Big Mama by email (Sidney's finally got online) but they're currently touring Alaska, so it'll be awhile before they see it.

Andrew, I don't get it, are you the guy in the picture or the fellow in the cartoon?

I enjoyed reading you, as I read it in my head I put on what I remember as being your accent, wow it was almost in 3D!

Seriously, good stuff, I enjoyed your answers. Right on!

And to think, I imagined you a strapping young kiwi like those lads on the sailboats, dashing intrepidly between polo games and the vineyards. Quelle deception! :) Apparently you "new world" types look just like "old world" gents!

Nice sentiments in the article, tough, in spite of your ugly, uh, I mean royal, mug spread all over it. ;)

Hmmmm..

Young - yes, I remember being once (says he who will turn 60 in a couple months)

Strapping - after a few health issues, now hopefully behind me, I am back in the gym with a view to being a "fighting fit" 90 kgs when I return to France in September 08.

Polo? I am allergic to horses!

Emery, we think alike! I have a stock phrase I use when asked "How are you today?"

My answer - "Large as life, and twice as ugly!"

That's a lot better answer than the standard:

"I'm in pretty good shape, for the shape I'm in." You have to say it with a lilt in your voice. Dee

Remember my doctor's advice: "You only drink too much if you drink more than your doctor!" :)

Any chance of a visit to the Loire next year? We could hook up if so. That would give you the opportunity to shudder over my visage in person, 'cause I'm never publishing any photos to this group! It'd put 'em off their cups! ;)

Well, you'll have to change your name to Brett. Should be no problem if you show characteristic odours of horse sweat, like most rugby players would... ;-)
