Howdy, All! What's been pouring?

Jun 12, 2005 2 Replies

I've been busy as heck at work (60-70 hours per week the past month or so). My poor web site has been neglected the past month or so.

I've been able to pop the cork on a few bottles of Chardonnay the past week or two, but thats about it. I'm going to open up a 2002 George Duboeuf Syrah-Merlot tonight or tomorrow. My daughter thought the bottle was "pretty" so she picked it out for me while cruising the isles at Sam's Club.

I wanted to mention also that I found a new wine opener (fancy corkscrew) at Sam's for $6.99. This is an awesome opener. I couldn't find a picture on Sam's for you, but here is a link to the same opener at Costplus World Market (for x3 the price):

It's the smaller of the two openers pictured. It makes pulling a cork a

2-3 second ordeal with little effort. If anyone is interested I'll post the manufacturer information.

Hope everyone is well, and is enjoying some good bottles.

Take care!

Hi group:

Hope I am not intruding on anyones space but I need some help in finding a wine. My name is Charlie Hendricks and my e-mail is snipped-for-privacy@cox.net. Two week ago I held a reunion for our graduating class of 1955 (50 years). One of the grads brought with him a super wine (at least to my taste). Here is what is on the label;; ESPORAO Alentejo - D.O.C. - Reserva 99 -- Denominacao de Origem Centrolada - Reguengos - Vinho Tinto / Red Wine /Vin Rouge. Would appreciate any help on where I might find above . Have tried the internet but can't seem to get where I need to be. Thought I would try the "newsgroups" and there you were. Hope you all have a good day or have already had one. Thanks in advance---

Try wine searcher:

I typed in Esporao and found several results, most of them $16-$18, but nothing from 1999.
