Would be good to have you around AFW more again! Nice feature. The Seghesio has been a fave of mine for a while.
Do you know anything about this producer Villadoria? I'd never heard of till last couple years. I've had a Barolo, a Barbaresco, and a Dolcetto. None were outstanding, but all were quite quaffable, and exhibited some typicity. And all were priced about 1/2 of what most of their brethren go for. May look for the Barbera. Finally got my work access back. So I should be a more frequent visitor now.
I was surprised to find so much relatively affordable Barbera around.
It really is an excellent value and, given the string of good vintages in region, should continue to be for awhile.
I must admit, however, that I have yet to taste more of the new style "barrique" Barberas and would like some recommendations from those of you who are more familiar with them.
