I never met Joe in person, but enjoyed the tales of "Da Beppe" He will be in my mind, his family in my prayers, I'll join in lifting a glass to Da Beppe.

So sorry to hear about Joe. His sometimes abstract humour enlivened AFW and we'll miss his contributions.

Martin

We'll miss him, sure, and surely I'll raise a glass to him. This friday.

Farewell Beppe

It's tragic news. His was a very distinct voice on AFW and he brought unique things to the party, with his experiences and anecdotes.

Another thought, If there is a heaven, it's probably segregated and I hope Joe doesn't get stuck in an area where religious beliefs prohibit the consumption of alcohol. Dick R.

I think you must be confusing it with the other place — that cannot be Heaven. Anyway I trust that anybody whose beliefs exclude the gift of wine in this life will not so suffer in the next — they will have done their penance here.

I'll lift one tonight.

Sorry to learn that. I did appreciate his humour - maybe it was more European than American... :-). Anders
