NZ Sauv's are a hit.

Recent posts around NZ Sauv Blanc's, and advice from Lord St Helier gave me the courage to expand the range of kiwi SB's in my shop. After buying in Wither Hills (thnx Andrew....superb!), Palliser, Mt Riley, Giesen & Montana, I am pretty chuffed the lot sold out inside two weeks. I have many customers who do not think twice about paying $20 - $30AUD for a red, in fact it is a large % of my sales, but whites are another story. Nevertheless, many of my regs took the plunge, shelled out b/w 20 & 30 of their hard earned and were rewarded with these taste sensations from across the pond.

Only one ignoramus suggested I was being un-Australian stocking NZ and French wines. He no longer feels welcome in my shop !

Next stop is a boutique range from James Murdoch, more Giesen and Wither Hills, and might have to try just a few more. :>)

Congrats, Swoop! It's good to see your faith in the product rewarded with sales. It doesn't hurt that the wines in question are so obviously of good quality and great value.

At the price point of Giesen and Montana, I find Grove Mill to be a cut above in terms of quality. I've also been quite fond of The Crossings. Lord St. H is, of course, the best source of up-to-date info on such things. You also should take a look at the Villa Maria offerings: the Private Bin is a good QPR offering and the top end Reserves are on a par with the best of NZ. Palliser Estate, however, is the ne plus ultra for me...
