Questions about Graham Vintage Ports

The 70 Graham is very decent. Depends on where it was bottled - be careful, I've had bottles with a Fonseca label and a Grahams cork (bottled in England)

The 77 has been an underachiever for me, compared to its reviews, although recent bottles seem to be getting a bit better.

The 83 needed more time when I had it last year, albeit from a magnum.

The 85 was quite forward and very drinkable last time I tried it.

Try the Malvedos ports made by Grahams in lesser vintages as well - some are excellent.

Those look to be pretty good prices. I paid a bit more for my 77 here in San Francisco. I'd actually buy the 77 to drink now...I really enjoy this one-- some might say hold it though. I certainly wouldn't. I would buy some of the 83 and 85 to hang onto for a bit. Though I have had a glass of the 83 at a restauraunt and liked it quite a bit. It is hard to tell in comparison with the 77 if not side by side...not much of note taker here I'm afraid.

Basically those are great prices (I know I said pretty good before, but I ruminated while I typed) and unless they have been really poorly stored (port is quite durable) I'd definately go for more than one...
