Several technical groups that I visit, with more traffic than this group, have had a very large number of sales spam posts in the last few days, and a few of them have appeared here also. Many mail services will rapidly filter them out, but of course many may come back soon under other names, domains, and other service providers. Old fashioned trolls seem to come and go in waves. In these times of economic tightness, I wonder if some of the trolls have not decided to make better use of their time with sales spam rather than getting only some personal gratification from trolling a group or individual. To be an effective troll takes much time, a knowledge of how to greatly annoy people, and some skill in writing.

So, here's the plan - you try to restrain from punching the troll, and I try to calm down , and we will just hope that I don't break down and create a scene ...
