I have just listed a rare food & wine book on eBay: "The Gourmet's Companion" (1963) is a huge compendium of writings on food and wine. This is a SIGNED first edition. What a great Christmas gift for that gourmet who has...almost everything. Have a look.

Yes, an entertaining book - this sort of post isn't spam as far as I'm concerned even though it has commercial content - the subject matter is on topic and it is neither disguised as something else, nor repeated beyond all reason.
