Got back from Maui a couple of weeks ago, so for an Easter dinner with the usual suspects (15 or so local relatives) I did a ham, sweetpotato, etc. dinner and served a couple of bottles of Maui Blanc which I picked up there. Nice light golden color, good legs, and an aroma of pineapple ( it is a pineapple wine) quite dry, but with enough fruit flavors and aromas that non dry wine drinkers thought it a little sweet. I wouldn't put it away to develop, but it went really well with the ham, it was refreshing to have something besides the usual wine, and it is nice to know there is life beyond Pinot Noir...
