My wife and I recently took a long weekend driving trip to fullfill a bucke t list item...a stay and dinner at The Inn at Little Washington. While in the area we visited a couple of Virginia wine properties including Rappahan nock Cellars where I purchased a few bottles. The 2013 Rappahannock Chardo nnay/Viognier (75/25) was my favorite of the bunch and I opened last night with grilled Halibut. Tight and slightly floral nose. Nice freshness on t he palate opening with honeysuckle, citrus and nutty almond like notes fini shing with more chardonnay like flavors of pineapple and lemon zest. B
