A few pre-revolution Russian wines come up for auction now and then. Some of these have been good, which makes one wonder what else was available back then. Google has a new service to download complete old pooks for which the copyright has expired. One is the catalog of the Russian section at the 1893 Worlds Columbia Exposition in Chicago. This is a 572 page document that includes much detailed information about Russian wines, among many other things. You may download it in pdf at:
