2001 Kettle Valley Semillon/Sauvignon Blanc - a blend of 50%/50% makes this a completely different wine. More colour and a riper tropical fruit nose, full and long in the mouth and not nearly as dry. Of the two, I believe the Alibi will work better with food - it was the better wine with BBQed Teriyaki chicken and sautéed tofu last night.
2003 Black Hills Alibi - a blend of 85% sauvignon Blanc and 15% Semillon. The nose is slightly grassy, but in the main is citrus based and the wine is crisp Euro style SB in the mouth, finishing freshly acidic and dry. It needs some time to come together, but I think this will in time become a very nice food wine.
