Hi all,
I've read about the good weather, early harvest and so on in Germany last summer, with high sugar levels in grapes and so. This is naturally accompanied by the normal "year of the decade/century" hype.
What I'm interested in whether anybody here actually has tasted some of the 2003 wines, especially from the Rheingau. I am not quite sure whether just a high sugar level in the must makes a good wine; I, personally, also want a good balance, with a good backbone and acids, as well. Anybody there that already knows whether these will be there as well?
Cheers,
