Valpolicella producers are not hard to get into if they are not harvesting. My former client was Ca Del Monte in Negrar. Umberto Zanconte is the owners name.IIRC. Also on the same hill are Quintarelli(Giuseppe) & Dal Forno. Quintarelli is hit or miss. When I was there in 1985 some Swiss phoned and Quintarelli invited them up, but he said I'm busy to an English wine writer. Allegrini is very gracious with vistors. Guerradi Rizzardi is in Bardolino a big estate--they have public tours. If you have a moment or two contact your local wine shop and ask them to contact the wholesaler of anyone you want to see besides searching the net for names & addresses.

The hard wineries to visit are Tuscan, who are strictly business and won't see civilians unless someone "sponsors" you. Then when you get there, what they pour is limited to how important is your sponsor to them. The veronese are not that spoiled.
