I'm headed to an Argentinian style steak house in a couple of weeks and likely will bring a bottle and pay the corkage. The steaks are grilled and served with a chimichurri sauce. Any thoughts of what kind of wine would pair well with this? I suppose a malbec is the natural choice, but I've never had one I enjoyed. Aside from one cheap bottle I picked up at Trader Joe's, the only malbec I've had have been by the glass, so they probably weren't the best selections.
PS--Most chimichurri sauce recipes I've found include the following: parsley, oregano, garlic, olive oil, red wine vinegar, lemon juice, dried red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. I assume the restaurant's version will be similar.
