A request for advice....do this, or do that....

I have a batch of crushendo , due its second rack. After that it is to settle for 30 days before bottling. It is beginning to get hot here, and nowhere in my house is it cooler than 65 at night and 75 in the day. I have taken to using my house crawl space for bulk again as it is a good 10-15 degrees cooler.

Now Im sure the cool temp would permit better clearing and settling of any remaining sediment. Trouble is, I have to move the carboy back up from there in thirty days, with all the swishing and sloshing that entails.

Do you think the underhouse storage is advantageous, given the amount of sloshing of the sediment I will do when lifting it back up into the house?

Cheers

Yes, the sediment should settle within two or three days.

For only 30 days, I think I'd leave the wine where it is. WinExpert kits are designed to clear properly at "room temperature", or about

75F. If you were talking about longer-term storage, I'd probably recommend the cooler location. For a period as short as a month, when the kit will probably clear better at the warmer temps, I wouldn't bother with it. That's my two cents.
