Corking

It is about that time to bottle my first wine. Yesterday I received my bottles, corks and corker. Now what next? Do I need to condition the corks in any way?

If they are fresh from the distributor, no. But you need to store leftovers properly. Put some sulfite solution in a jar, put the jar in a large sealable container. Pour the corks around the jar and seal the container. The sulfite solutions will keep a nice humid, sterile atmosphere that will keep the corks at the right humidity level.
