I have seen 7.5 gallon demi's with spigots, but never smaller than that here. They are enclosed in a plastic imitation wicker sleeve. They sell them at most winemaking supply shops. I think Country Wines in Pgh, PA has these.

The PET based Better Bottle company do a plastic 5 (uk) / 6(us) gallon carboy with spigot which is very good (and even allows you to adjust the intake orientation quite accurately from the outside).

Opinion is largely out as to whether or not they are as suitable as glass for aging (though one respondent reported that long term aging in Better Bottles resulted in slight oxidation over several months. For fermenting though, my guess is that they'd suit your needs nicely.

However, if you do get one, don't be shy to take it back to the store if it leaks from the spigot. Mine did and I didn't. I have about 12 drips per 5 week fermentation, so it's not horrendous, but you can do without.

In the wine kits I use and the fruit wines I have made thus far, the Better Bottle has performed admirably apart from the above drip problem I am nonchalent about.
