Hi ....ever buy a lug of grapes ..say Merlot.........the top 15 clusters that are showing look great.....THEN suddenly the clusters look different,in fact its a different variety altogether??......happened again to me this year..........label name available upon request.....man am I pissed off!!!!!!!....reputable brand too....andy j.
I've had growers try to slip Emerald Riesling into my Chardonnay. They succeeded in 1985 to some extent. The pH of the wine after fermentation was
2.90! It was like battery acid. I had to aggressively deacidify the wine, but it came out fine and took several golds.Tom S
