So I went into the wine room the other day and found a significant amount of green fuzzy mold on the basket press - the wood parts in particular. It seems there was some water in the basement through a closet in the wine room that went undetected. Needless to say I have to clean this thing. We sprayed it down with a strong hose, which seemed to knock most of the visible stuff off the press, but do any of you suggest any methods for disinfecting it other than bleach? Would B-Brite do the trick?
As for the wine room, I plan to take everything out of there and clean down the walls and floors with the same cleaner and let it air out for a while before putting stuff back in. Has anyone had any experience with this sort of issue?
