My Car smells like a winery

Bought some must on sale at Sam's Club and put the 20 litre pail in the trunk.

You guessed it--took a corner too fast, pail fell and I had 20 litres of wine juice in trunk of my car. Guess that's what shop vacs and carpet cleaners are for. Of course, it was red wine, so made quite a mess. Got most of it out, but my car now has a most intoxicating smell.

It's not the mess that bothers me...it's the waste of wine.

Hey Sams Club was good about it. My wife actually went back and complained the lid must not have been properly secute (they are the type you need to be Hercules with screwdriver and pliers to get off) and they gave a free replacement.

Should be drinking the Barolo in 6 to 8 months! Not bad !

I'm always the bringer of the wine when we go to the races in Charolotte. One year I brought a gallon jug (glass) instead of the usual case of bottles & when I went to put it in the van I shoved it between the rear seat & the side wall because it fit there real nice, except there was a bracket down there that I couldn't see & it took out the bottom of the jug & emptied the whole gallon in about 3 seconds. It's always about 100 degrees down there on memorial day & every time you got in the van it about knocked you over. I can simpathise with ya on this one, good thing we didn't get stopped for anything.

Dont know where you live but I live north of Toronto and the local (Vaughan) store has it--it's one of those road show deals and he said he would be there 3 weeks. Don't know how good it is, but is 23 to 26 bucks a pail (Canadian-20 litres).

In my area lots of Italians, Portugese etc and all kinds of places sell juice for wine, uva per vino etc. You can find them in many areas till the end of October
