Mystery plastic pull ring corks that fit non screwcap bottles ?

Afternoon-

I'm trying to locate the manufacturer/vendor of a new cork enclosure. I saw it on a bottle of "Woop Woop" Syrah. It is similiar to a plastic stopper (hollow) which fits inside the bottle, but it has a plastic 'wrapper' which winds around the outside to seal the bottle shut.

It's a very interesting and ingenious cork- my guess is they're just pushed on.

Any suggestions?

Jason

They're made in Australia...I couldn't find any distributor in the States. Anyone seen these available for home use -- looks like manual corker should work fine (if you can supply the CO2)

Looks like the same idea as the colsures on Bottled water 18.9 liter carboys.

Great Zorks!

I was going to attempt to call the distributor and get a sapmle of the V4 enclosures. I looked at the O2 graphs- wow, they burn thru quite a bit of sulphite in the first 6 months. I thought the research looked solid- it will be interesting to see how they work in the future.

I'd like to get a sample of them to use for my experiments this year. I can cork with Synth, Real, Agglomerate, Screwtop, and Zork then.... I need some nice 'premium' corks tho to round out the experiment.

That and 6 years of patience ;)
