I'm just about to bottle a Foch made from 2005 grapes. Two weeks ago I fined with egg whites (10ml in 20 ml warm water for 6 gal Carboy). I racked last week. The wine appears clear. However, I noticed some grape color residual stuff on the neck of the carboy. I haven't noticed this before. I also noticed it the bottom of my glass after tasting the wine.
What is this? Do you think it is a result of egg whites?
It still tastes good.....just the appearance is of concern.
