Gents , I am doing a project for a friend that is making a barrel of cab . I need to find a bottle or two so that I can carve his logo/label into it . The size that I am looking for is a Jeroboam , or a Magnum. Please let me know if you know of a source . Thanks , Greg
Try any "up scale" restaurant in your area. Just ask for an empty one. Or, for greater pleasure, a full one.
Failing that, Presqu'ile has a selection of large bottles.
If you get really desperate, try a good beer store. A few months ago my nephew gave me a 3l bottle (double-magnum) that came filled with Heineken. As far as I can tell, it's a true 3l wine bottle (burgundy profile). Only downside (for me) is that it requires slightly larger corks than the standard 750ml bottles do.
