I opened and drank part of my bottle of Ommegang Abbey on Sunday and then I thought I'd conduct an experiment. I shook the bottle and waited until the brew foamed up and reached the neck and then I stuck one of my Victory Grand Cru corks in(a perfect tight fit) and put the bottle back in storage.
I just reopened it and poured it into my New Belgium goblet and it's acting like I opened it for the first time....nice head of foam and the taste
*appears* to be as fresh as it was before. Has anyone else here done this before? ;^)
