Where do you get it nowadays?
The last bottled Schlitz I saw was at Merle's Barbeque in Evanston, IL about two years ago. It was offered in returnable bottles, although the empty bottles were thrown away like all other beer bottles. Haven't been back since to verify if the Schlitz is still available.

Looks like Pabst is about to do a big push for Schlitz- notice they have a new website
Notice that Pabst is pushing the brand as returning to it's "1960's formula" (I guess so they can use the "Gusto" ad campaign), one would think they'd go back to the 50's, when Schlitz was the #1 brewery in the US. Certainly, they'll avoid the well documented "change" in the
1970's (see the recent book, Ambitious Brew) that ruined the product and led to the demise of the company a few years later. I like how the "History" page skips from 1973 to 2007 , but then, the Pabst (so-called) "Brewing" Company likes to play fast and loose with the truth- their entire website is full of mis-information about the brands they now own but have other companies (Miller, City, Lion) brew for them. (Altho', my favorite mistake, mis-spelling "Schaefer" as "Schaeffer", was corrected a few years ago).DrinksForum website is not affiliated with any of the manufacturers or service providers discussed here.
