I've been reading rave comments about Lion Stout in Jackson's books and articles for years. But when I finally the stuff about a year ago, I was seriousy disappointed. It is better than Guinness, though.

I thought it was quite lovely. Amusingly enough, because of that beer, a large number of people on Ratebeer have Sri Lanka as their highest- rated country, because they had one easily accessible beer that was quite good and therefore didn't have any crap pulling down the average. It was for me until I came across the Lion Lager which, uh, wasn't so great.
