Moosehead tastes different in USA?

I had a few Mooseheads while visiting my father-in-law in Cincinnati. It tasted very different from what I get in Toronto. It clearly had a sweet overtone...the kind of flavour that says "you're going to get a headache from this". Why would that be? Was his beer old? Or is there some difference in the Moosehead that's sold in the US versus Canada?

Well, IIRC, Moosehead comes in green bottles (the beer that is) and as we all know, green bottled beer tends to get skunky quickly (Can you say lightstruck) maybe that's why

If you asking if Moosehead beer in the US sucks, yes, it does. Are you saying it doesn't in Canada?

I don't know. The two Mooseheads that I had in Cincinnati did not taste the same as at home. The difference was immediately apparent. I had the second one thinking that maybe the first had gone a little off. If it had, then the second one had too. The taste wasn't, by most standards, "bad", it just tasted kind of thin, sweet, and cheap...like Michelob or something...not to my liking. The Moosehead that I'm used to here at home (and I had one last night just to be sure :-} ) is medium-bodied with a very clean taste, with virtually no hint of sweetness.

But it could be that both bottles in Cinti were going bad. They were from the same case. Or is it possible that it is brewed slightly differently for the American market? I know from experience that some foods, such as condiments, are made sweeter for the American market than for the Canadian.
