I just bought a 6 pack of Henry Weinhard's Amber Light Ale and it's not bad. Nice malty flavour, kind of a light version of Portland Woodstock Ale. At $5 a sixer, when money's tight, this one will do me right.
Best regards, Bill

I used to drink Weinhard's red (at $5-$6 a 12) like it was water back in my college days. It wasn't the best but it was decent and cheap. I would occasionally pick up a 12 just for reminisence until they discontinued it (3 or 4 years ago?). I wonder if the Amber is close (or the same beer renamed)?

Those Cheaper so called Micro Beers have ruined the beer market for another half century. But that's ok, let everyone's granny brew beer in their bathtubs and take it to the market, It will help my favorite brand "Schlitz" make a comeback. With a name like that, it's got to be good.
Remove the "l" and you have the perfect description for your fave choice of beer.

I don't see much in Killiens Irish Red, but that's only because of the water they use from the Rockies. Mississipi river water has always served anheister busch brews well. Natural light is my favorite.

I dunno, Jimmie, you look more like a Troll Brew kinda character.
Hehe...Mr. Calfliver ain't gonna be very happy with you.
Best regards, Bill
The key here is that it is a light beer...fewer calories, etc. First one I've found that actually has some decent taste to it.
