Re: Yuengling Lager

i think you get an honorary citizenship to the great state of pennsylvania for drinking that (tho, if i remember correctly, they have a plant in tampa now, too). it'll always be a pennsylvania beer. if they have it, give their porter a try. it's pretty yummy.

They just selling this locally (North Carolina) and I have to give it a >thumbs up. It's smooth and light (but not too light) without Budweiser's >aftertaste. It's my new regular brew.

Lauren! (take out the "nojunk" to reply) beer drinking, sax playing, baseball junkie on a rampage ... beware!

I used to drink the Lager almost all the time (was also quite fond of Yuengling's other brews--Premium Beer,Chesterfield Ale, Black and Tan, etc.)- but it sometimes seems to have an almost "sour" aftertaste. It might be described as "bitter"--but seems to be worse--just can't drink it much anymore. I used to think it was very underrated, now I think it is very overrated.

Well...anyone claiming Yuengling is one of the world's great beers would surely be over-rating it. But its def better IMO than BMC type lagers. The Lord Chesterfield is as middle of the road as you can get IMO, and I was always fond of their porter. Now the Premium was just awful - lighter than Coors and pure crap.
