Schlitz?

The "stuff" is still around (at least, a beer so labeled is still marketed). The brewing company (for a time, the largest in the US) that made it is long gone- bought by the Stroh Brewing Company back in the early 80's. Stroh itself went out of business in the late 90's and the Schlitz label became the property of Pabst, which has no breweries and contracts it's brands to other breweries (mostly Miller plants).

Go here, click on "Our Beers", find Schlitz, click on your state in the "Availability" map and see if there is a distributor in your area. If so, a local retailer should be able to get it.

Sure but it's beer not stuff. So's Bud, Michelob, Coors, Schaefer, Pabst, Schmidt, Coors, National Bohemian, Lone Star, Olympia, Strohs and all the other entry-level beers. If it is important, in some instances brands like those are owned by larger companies that may be outsourcing brewing to another company. To me it's still beer, just not what I would likely buy.
