That almost wouldn't surprise me, but it is the case that at my local, we get an influx of all the Munchner ofests in early fall every year. Maybe that's just a distribution trick...? (i.e. hold on to them for awhile til fall approaches)

Robert Schemitsch of Spaten North America says Spaten marzenbier is available year round on draft but is slightly different from their bottled Oktoberfest.

So I guess ghoulx was justified. I was getting it mixed up with Paulaner which is availble all year.

Sorry I missed responding before re the Spaten Oktoberfest. Yes, I do enjoy that brew. As much as I *can* enjoy an Octoberfest since it's not my fav style. I'd rather drink their Optimator. ;^)

I am apparently able to get it by the six pack but the twelvers aint coming back til august and the sixest do get rarer. I hoard my supply like a greedy miser and its mine ALL MINE. You may add the villianous belly laugh at your convenience.
