Just heard a rumour that the Cheshire CAMRA Pub of the Year, The Albion in Warrington, is to close.
Any news on this please?
It would be such a shame, a great community pub with great ale...we need more like that.

Was there a fortnight ago for regional meeting - no suggestion of closure!
What a shocker!!
Sorry folks, don't want to spread alarm or untruths but it seems the pub has a sign outside indicating it's up for auction. I was just wondering if anyone had any idea what the problem was as I didn't want to travel and find it closed.
As someone who manages to get to The Albion once or twice a month, I'll be sad to see it go assuming that is the outcome.
The auction sign seems to have appeared in the last couple of weeks, since my last visit.
