Stumbled on Ljubljana's only micro-brewery yesterday - Kratochwill, in an arcade opposite station. It's a restaurant but brews (somewhere - saw no brewing kit)) a great Czech style lager and some dark and wheat beers as well. Sadly they had no bottled beers for me to take home.

Yes - my wife and I were looking for somewhere for lunch. There was no clue it had its own beer. I asked for a beer and got a fantastic pint - i asked if it was brewed in Ljubljana, and the waiter just looked at me as if I was mad. It was only later in the tourist office I discovered it was a brew-place.
Off to Milan tomorrow - any brew pubs there?

Indeed, the Birrificio Lambrate is worth a visit. Nice range, from the Kölsch-like Montestella to their celebrated Ghisa smoked porter... and there's pretty nice food too !
