Camping Pubs?

I have to go camping this summer, I promised my daughter. I did the same last year and ended up in a grotty campsite on the crumbling cliffs at Crommer. I can't face that again this year.



When I was visiting Felixstowe I saw a campsite in a field next to the Ferry Boat Inn just temporary for a sailing regatta and I thought...... how about camping next to a pub. There are plenty of guides Pubs with Rooms etc which is of cousre where I would rather be but I have to camp.



Anyone know of somewhere suitable? I live in Bedford so east, south east central england would be best but to be honest I'd be prepared to go almost any distance rather than go back to Crommer.

I read this fleetingly as "camp" pubs... (Psychoanalysts please note) in which case try "The Salisbury" at the lower end of St Martin's Lane WC2. Nice old place with mahogany, old engraved glass and mirrors absolutely everywhere.

The only place I've ever had my bottom stroked by a man in a dress. Come to think on it, it was the only time I've EVER had my bottom stroked by a man anywhere - full stop. Can't vouch for their beer these days however.

Don't know your area for pubs or camping but you could do a search "camping east & south east England"
