Any recommendations for good food and drink in Carlisle city centre weekday lunchtimes please?
It would be an advantage if the pub is near the railway station.

There are two wetherspoons close to the station - come straight out of the station yard and turn right.
But the best place would be the King's Head. Carlisle's city pub of the year for the last four years or so. Less than 10 mins walk and worth it. Best to find it on a map as although it is a straight walk, the last bit is complicated!
