I have a new lady friend. We meet in Salisbury because its half way between my home and hers, also on train line.
Now forgive me you locals but why are the pubs so bloody expensive there? Or have I just been to the wrong ones. Lady friend is TT but I like a good pint.
Any recommendations for a good reasonably priced pint? Good food would be an advantage also.

...not sure what "reasonably priced" means - but I always make a bee line for the Hop Back tap - The Wyndham Arms - only open in the evenings during the week though but what a good pub ....!!
...b.t.w - there was a thread on Salisbury pubs in January in this NG - might be worth checking Google for it...
