Ulverston

Recommendations for Ulverston please, decent quality food an advantage. Not really interested in Robinson's or Hartley's.

Thanks johnnysaint

Passed through a year ago and found the Stan Laurel Inn excellent for beer. Food was fine too.

They had a rare beer on - 'My Home Town'

Let us know how you get on, then!

Go to Prince of Wales Foxfield, too, if you can - by train is good. Great pub! Cumbria POTY this year, too.

Visited the Stan Laurel, The Mill, Swan Inn and Farmer's Arms. All four were very good, thanks for the recommendations.

Ate at the Farmer's Arms and The Mill, food was very good in both.

Had a couple of good pints of Ulverston Brewery ales at the Framer's, both in great condition, whilst The Mill had a better range also in good condition.

Stan was a really nice locals pub, beer good but limited range.

In terms of beer, The Swan was my pick. Ten beers available with those sampled in good nick, nice pub with friendly locals.

Will certainly visit Ulverston again.

All the best, johnnysaint.
