I received a selection of bottled beers for Christmas. Especially nice was a Brakspear organic BC thing.
Now my local Tesco/Oddbins/Thresher etc. in Mossley Hill is pretty poor for choice BC beers (and bottled beer generally), and I generally just buy bottles of Marstons / Thwaites which are 99p in branches of Home Bargain. However I did recall a local organic/whole food shop stocked Brakspear amongst other beers/wines.
Sadly, I got to the store to be told that they no longer have a licence. However, some hippy kindly informed me that there is an offy in the Waterloo / Crosby area that sells all sorts of nice beer - just he didn't have a name or address for me. Apparently it just looks like a newsagents from the outside.
Anyone know where he was talking about? Or better still, anywhere in south Liverpool or the city centre where I can get some decent BC beer?
