Hi there, am off to NW next week and will be left to my own devices in Liverpool while the boss ('er indoors) goes on a course. could anyone advise me of some good quality real ale pubs in the town centre?

Hi all.
Just a word to say the best beer in Liverpool by a country mile has to be Cains' Raisin Ale.
First came across this gem at the RC Cathedral's best event in the calendar some four years ago. A magical brew, quite unlike any other (which in this day and age is a revelation) and perhaps the most refreshing beer known to man!
